I thought I had cancelled my plan but I am still getting charged...

Our self-service customer portal is fully integrated with Geopolitics Insider's payment processor, Stripe.

This means that as soon as you cancel your paid membership, Stripe will automatically stop any future charges on your payment method.

Geopolitics Insider processes a large number of payments, and the system is fully automated to ensure accuracy.

We do not manually charge users. Whether or not you're charged depends entirely on whether you've canceled your paid plan.

If you were charged, it means that your plan was not canceled.

If you’re sure you canceled your plan but still experienced a charge, we recommend logging in to the customer portal to review the status of your membership.

First log in.

Then, open the self-service portal by clicking on "account"

This is how it looks if you indeed canceled your paid plan.

You can see that it says "subscription will expire", which means that this your last billing cycle and that you will not be charged at the end of it.

There is also a button that says "Continue Subscription".

On the other hand, if you see this:

No "Continue subscription button", and it says that your subscription "will renew", it means that you have not cancelled your subscription yet.

In that case please cancel your membership so you don't get billed again.
